Top grain, and it says so
The listing prints 头层牛皮 in its own attribute table, which is the outer layer of the hide rather than the split beneath it. Plenty of bags at twice this price are split leather described only as "genuine". This one names its grade, and the grain you can see is the fibre, not a printed pattern.
No lining, on purpose
无里布 — unlined. A lining is fabric glued and stitched into a bag, and it is the part that fails first: it separates at the top edge, it holds damp, it adds weight for nothing. Leather this thick does not need one. It is also why the bag weighs 590 g.
A shoulder strap, not a handle
Two straps at 33 cm, which puts the bag under the arm rather than in the hand — the length you actually carry a full tote at. They are stitched flat into the body rather than riveted through it, so nothing works loose at the point where a loaded bag pulls hardest.
A matte snap
A magnetic tab rather than a zip. It closes with one hand while you are walking, and it leaves the mouth of the bag soft, so it opens to its full 33 cm instead of to the width of a zip. The edge is painted rather than folded, which is why the rim reads as a single line.

Because the leather is named and the lining is not there. 头层牛皮 in the supplier's own table, an unlined body at 590 g, and two straps set at the length a full tote is actually carried at — this is the shape of bag that gets used every day rather than saved for an occasion. Care
- Wipe with a dry cloth. Do not wash — the leather is not treated for it.
- Keep it away from direct heat, which stiffens the hide and dries the edge paint.
- Stuff it when stored so the body keeps its shape; an unlined bag takes a fold easily.
- A light neutral cream twice a year is enough. Pebbled leather does not want polish.
